About Safe Shot Pest Control

Our Story

Underliner decoration

Adrian Fadini, the founder of Safe Shot Pest Control, is a dedicated conservationist with a deep commitment to responsible pest animal management. His focus is on protecting native ecosystems, supporting sustainable land management, and ensuring the ethical control of vertebrate pests.

Adrian's passion for firearms safety and ethical shooting began early in the mid 80's. In 1989, at just 16 years old, he became a Junior Range Officer at the SSAA Majura Gun Range. His father, Joe Fadini, was a passionate shooter who dedicated his life to teaching safe shooting practices. After Joe's passing in 2023, the Majura Standard Pistol Range was named in his honor, cementing his legacy in the shooting community.

Building on this foundation of safety and responsibility, Adrian established Safe Shot Pest Control to provide professional pest control services across Sydney, Southern NSW, and the ACT. He prioritises risk mitigation, strict compliance with licensing requirements, and ethical pest management practices. Under his leadership, Safe Shot has built a reputation for delivering effective, environmentally responsible solutions to rural landholders, businesses, and government entities.

With a strong background in risk management and operational efficiency, Adrian ensures that all pest control activities are carried out with precision and accountability. His expertise helps clients navigate their legal obligations under the Local Land Services Act 2013 while implementing best-practice strategies to reduce pest impacts and promote biodiversity.

Through Safe Shot Pest Control, Adrian remains committed to balancing conservation with effective pest management, providing clear, informed, and results-driven solutions for those seeking professional, responsible pest control.

  • Identifies the specific type of property (e.g., farm, mine site, cattle/sheep station, private land, landfill collection site, or government-managed land) and its exact location.
  • Notes any unique environmental features (e.g., sensitive habitats, water sources, terrain challenges) that could influence pest control methods.

  • Specifies which pest species are present or suspected (e.g., rabbits, foxes, feral cats, wild dogs) and their estimated population levels.
  • Includes any relevant breeding or behavioural patterns impacting control strategies.

  • Verifies current permits, firearms licences, and approvals required for vertebrate pest control, particularly on government or restricted sites.
  • Confirms adherence to state and federal legislation, including the Local Land Services Act or other applicable regulations.

  • Details physical hazards (e.g., machinery, open pits on mine sites, livestock movement) and environmental risks (e.g., proximity to water catchments, native species habitats).
  • Considers potential risks to workers, bystanders, and non-target animals.

  • Describes the proposed control options (e.g., shooting, trapping, baiting) along with specific protocols, equipment, or substances to be used.
  • Outlines measures to minimise off-target impacts, such as bait stations, fenced areas, or time-of-day considerations.

  • Specifies the required safety gear (e.g., hearing protection, eye protection, high-visibility clothing) for each control method.
  • Confirms that all personnel have received proper training in firearms safety, bait handling, or trap setting.

  • Identifies who must be notified (e.g., landowners, on-site staff, neighbours, local councils, state/federal agencies) and how they will be informed.
  • Establishes protocols for reporting activities and providing updates or follow-up assessments.

  • Highlights any measures taken to protect native wildlife, endangered species, or culturally significant areas.
  • Details procedures for disposing of carcasses, leftover bait, or other materials in an environmentally responsible manner.

  • Provides clear instructions for responding to injuries, firearms incidents, chemical spills, or unintentional harm to non-target species.
  • Outlines reporting requirements to authorities if an incident occurs, including incident logs and follow-up actions.

  • Ensures the risk assessment is reviewed and signed by authorised personnel (e.g., pest controller, property manager, agency representative).
  • Clarifies roles, responsibilities, and timelines for ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and necessary adjustments.

Had Adrain from safe shot pest control out to our farm in Narromine to clean up a heap of pigs that were constantly getting into the chickpeas. Since Adrain has been out it has made a significant difference to the impact the pigs were having on our production. It pays to have a professional. It also helps when you can trust a bloke to do a job that won’t knock off your fuel or leave a heap of gates open. Cheers Gus and emma.

We had Adrian from Safe Shot Pest Control come out to our property in Jindabyne and couldn’t be happier with the results. We knew we had a few pigs and deer causing issues, but had no idea just how many there actually were until Adrian got to work. He was professional, reliable, and incredibly effective — managed to clear out a heap of them for us. Highly recommend his service if you’re dealing with feral animal problems. Top bloke and knows exactly what he’s doing.
